TECHNICAL INFORMATION

SPEC High Temp - Polyester putty for powder coating.

Putty hardener ppolyester.

Product description:

High-quality 2-component polyester putty with increased resistance to high temperatures,even 200^aboutC, partially electrically conductive,

intended mainly for surface treatment as part of its preparation for painting

powder.The product has adequate flexibility and very good adhesion to various

type of substrate, after proper preparation.

• Perfectly smooth surface after grinding.

• It conducts an electric charge.

Putty color: grey.

Hardener color: red.

Substrate preparation:

The product shows very good adhesion to various substrates.Especially recommended for:

• Steel and aluminum after matting and degreasing.

• Galvanized steel after matting and degreasing.

We recommend sandpaper with gradation: P80÷P120.

Attention:

Do not apply polyester putties directly on reactive primers,
1-component acrylic and nitrocellulose products.

Application Process: 

Application:

High-temperature putty designed for filling surfaces painted with paints cured at temperatures up to 200^aboutc

Mixing ratio by weight:

Putty 100gr.

Hardener 2gr.

Mix thoroughly until a paste of uniform color is obtained. Stir carefully so as not to air the putty.

Layer Thickness:

The putty can be applied in several thin layers. After each of them, the product should be cured. Sand before applying the next layer.

life time:

It's about 7 minutes in 20^aboutc

Curing time:

About 30 minutes at 20°C.

Temperature below 20°C significantly reduces the curing time of the product.

Grinding:

Coarse sanding (dry): P80÷P120.

Finish sanding (dry): P120÷P320

Further Works:

After curing, the product should be sanded according to the manufacturer's instructions until a perfectly smooth surface is obtained. It is recommended to wait 12 hours before painting with powder paints. The putty surface should be cleaned, degreased and covered with a primer and then with paint. The best effect is obtained by using agents that delay the binding of primers and powder paints.

General thoughts:

• Excessive amount of hardener can cause problems with whitening the topcoat!

• It is recommended to use personal protective equipment when working with 2-component products. Protect eyes and respiratory tract.

• The rooms should be well ventilated.

• Tools should be washed immediately after application.

Storage:

Product components should be stored in tightly closed containers, in dry and cool rooms, away from sources of fire. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Attention:

1. Close containers immediately after using the product.

2. Protect the hardener against overheating!

Guarantee period:

SPEC Long Term - 12 months from the date of production.

Hardener for polyester putty - 18 months from the date of production.
