Description
Degasser for Powder Paints (Galvanized)
MIXING AGENT WITH POWDER COATINGS, HELPFUL WHEN PAINTING ZINC-COATED STEEL DETAILS, REDUCES OR COMPLETELY ELIMINATES GASIFICATION OF POWDER COATINGS WHEN THEY BURN (POLYMERIZATION), IMPROVES THE VISUAL QUALITY OF THE FINAL POWDER COATING AND EVERYTHING.
Hot-dip galvanized elements have different coating thicknesses (depending on the material and surface roughness), which are often visible and unavoidable after powder coating. Depending on the quality of the galvanized surface, gasification, pores, craters may appear on the painted surface.
There are many possibilities for this phenomenon to occur and in many cases it is very difficult to say about the appearance of the powder coating before painting.
However, in order to eliminate the described negative properties as much as possible, we recommend: - informing the hot-dip galvanizing plant about further processing of the elements by painting,
- galvanized elements should be free of "white corrosion" and have the thinnest zinc coating possible,
- avoid storage of processed elements outside (better under a roof), - use a degasser for paints,
- to increase the adhesion of the paint, sweep the galvanized surface without iron abrasive.
Generally, the thinner and fresher the zinc coating, the better the painting quality.
